About Us
OUR ORIGINS
Valkyrie Dressage is a growing North American dressage team owned by Nellie Shortnight, and was established on March 23rd, 2025. Our team strives to compete while demonstrating our creative and unique ambitions. Our theme is inspired by the book series A Court of Thorns and Roses.
Our team focuses on pushing boundaries and forging a path that blends precision and power in the arena. We offer several different and unique styles of instruction, which has led to the creation of one of our current projects, a collaborative effort between our high ranks and competition team. Our hopes with this project are to equip dressage enthusiasts with simplified, advanced techniques and to help provide a deep understanding of competitive dressage.
VD is not just a competition team on a pixel horse game-- rather, we're a family. We believe that growth happens when members feel valued and supported; Our high ranks and members are dedicated to creating an environment where every member feels empowered to push their limits while knowing they have a strong support system behind them. We prioritize building real connections beyond the arena, and developing close relationships to each and every one of our members. We don’t just recruit dressage and Star Stable enthusiasts—we welcome all individuals who want to become part of our story. Our goal is to create long-lasting bonds that will thus create an environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

What We Offer
An organized management and instruction system including a point system, attendance policies, extra credit activities, and more.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
Welcoming and kind members who will ensure that you feel seen and are able to adjust accordingly. All members will do their absolute best efforts to connect with you and make you feel at home and comfortable.
ENVIRONMENT
All members are given opportunities to participate in dressage routines, whether competitive or not, music videos, and social media photographed posts. We ensure everyone is given a fair opportunity to learn with everyone without being wholly divided.
DRESSAGE
A current work in progress dressage dictionary including custom Valkyrie moves and broken-down techniques to help simplify dressage and ensure that everyone is able to learn and progress in their dressage journey.
